Snacky Meals

Our girls are really good eaters.  Really good in terms of they eat a ton of food.  Not always really good in trying a variety of foods.  They seem to like to eat really small meals and then snack the day away.

Snacky meals may be one of our greatest successes.  I provide them with a huge plate of food and they eat whatever they want on the plate.  I try to fill the plate with protein and veggies & fruit mostly, but always throw in a few of their favorite staples (like pretzels).

If you have a picky eater, this would be a great way to get them to try more food, as well.

Here’s a plate we made the other day with a small list of items that would work great for a snacky meal.

The possibilities are endless.  You can also add a ton of other things.  The photo just shows our most common ones.  Regardless of what we put on the plate, the outcome is usually the same:

This looks perfect for those nights when you just don't want to cook anything! And for warm summer nights when you want to be out playing.
