Recipe: Octopus or Octopi?

For some reason this is one of the girls’ favorite foods.  I rarely make them because I rarely buy hot dogs, but on Sunday morning when we did our meal plan for the week, this is what all three of them requested.  Who am I to deprive them?

They are so simple to make:
Cut a hot dog (I use turkey hot dogs) into 6 pieces.
Insert 4 strands of spaghetti through each hot dog piece.  (We use gluten free pasta!)

Insert into a pot of boiling water and cook for the amount of time it takes for the spaghetti to cook.

It’s definitely not rocket science and your kids can help you put the spaghetti through the hot dogs if they want to help.  I serve them with some extra spaghetti and a vegetable (like raw carrots) usually.  They are a huge hit and are super easy to make.

I’ll be making this for dinner tonight and will make extra so they can pack them in their lunchbox too.

xoxo
