I have a IRL friend, Susie, who has an incredible talent for designing cards. I am constantly amazed by her talents and abilities. I just give her an inkling of what I am looking for and she creates what I am thinking of.
Back in March, I shared Kate’s invitation for her rainbow birthday party. I worked with Susie, who took exactly what I envisioned and recreated it. I couldn’t have loved it any more.
Isn’t it adorable? She must have known I LOVE polka dots too! Now, for Caroline’s birthday invitation, I was a little more specific. Caroline really wanted a duckie party but she loves the color blue. I had found a design on http://www.bigdotofhappiness.com/ that incorporated both. I sent the link to Susie and this is what she came up with:
We had tweaked it until it was just right. And because I wanted Caroline’s cards to be done on card stock, Susie also designed the back, as well.
Aren’t they so sweet?
Here’s some of the serious information: Kate & Rebecca’s invitations were sent to me via email and I uploaded them to Walgreen’s website. They printed them out (4×6) and I picked them up and mailed them off. Caroline’s invite was printed on card stock. Susie ordered them and they were sent directly to me from her printer. They came quicker than expected and were wrapped in a brown box with a bow. Caroline felt special and considered it an early birthday present. Susie is incredibly easy to work with. She will tweak the design until it’s exactly what you are looking for. Her website has a ton of different designs to choose from (or you can have your own created). I poured over the invitations on her website until I found just the right font for Kate’s invitation.
The homepage of Susie’s website explains exactly how simple it is to work with her. Just give her your idea and she makes it happen. Please check out her website http://announcementsbysusie.weebly.com/ to see what she has to offer. Right now she’s offering a special on your first order with her.
