Movie Review: Winnie the Pooh

Last week I took all 3 girls to the movies to see Disney’s Winnie the Pooh.

I need to start out by saying that I have a hard time finding things that are age appropriate for my kids, 4, 3, and 1.  A lot of movies, and even tv shows, try to appeal to adults and therefore miss the mark on kids.  The girls find most Disney movies either scary (Snow White, Nemo) or boring (Cars, Princess & the Frog).  And why, oh why, does the mother always need to die in a Disney movie?

Now, I should say I am not an expert on movies.  However, I am an expert on toddlers and preschoolers. At least, I am an expert on my 1 toddler & 2 preschoolers.  Having 3 kids, 4 and under, movies either work or don’t work for my clan.  And this movie WORKED!

First of all, the movie is listed as being an hour and 9 minutes.  It was the perfect length, even for Rebecca.  Everything about it was cute.  I thought parts of it would scare the girls because the screen got dark and the characters were scared, but it didn’t happen.

I am hoping there will be more movies like this to follow.  Disney really hit it out of the park.
