Crayola. Oh, how I love Crayola. I should first start out by saying that I grew up not too far from the Crayola Factory. As a matter of fact, I still live pretty close to it. For field trips in elementary school and summer camp we would go to the Crayola Factory and get a walking tour of the factory floor. I still have vivid memories of the machines whirring away and crayons spitting out, complete with wrappers.
My love affair with Crayola only grew after I had a nephew draw on my yellow ottoman with a black crayon. (Do you know that Crayola has Stain Tips which are multiple ways to get each product out of fabric, furniture, and walls?) After that, I only bought Crayola’s washable crayons.
I could go on and on about my love of Crayola (and I am sure I will one day) but when Crayola contacted me and asked if I would write about one of their products, I couldn’t have been more excited. In the last 2 years the girls have become “craft” obsessed. And by obsessed, I mean that there’s always paper, glue, crayons, markers, paint, paintbrushes, and Model Magic all over our house. It’s a little crazy but I really love seeing where their creativity takes them.
Hands down Model Magic is a favorite in our house. The girls have been making jewelry out of Model Magic for years, but then we discovered Crayola’s Beadola Bead Maker. We took our first snowy day of the year to use it and we all loved it. It was the perfect activity for being inside.
I loved that once I showed the girls the directions, Kate and Caroline were able to make them all on their own. Rebecca, who is 4, needed a little help at the end of each bead but not much. They’re currently working on making bracelets for their aunt for Christmas (shh!) so I can’t show you their finished project.
However, Crayola is allowing me to give 3 Beadola Bead Makers and 1 $50 gift card to my readers. Follow the directions below to enter to win. I’ll be choosing winners first thing on Tuesday, December 9th so we can hopefully get the Beadolas delivered before Christmas. (I said hopefully!)
Good luck!
xoxo
