A moment in our time

Last year I didn’t send out Christmas cards.  I think almost everyone was wondering if they should take it personally because they thought they didn’t make the cut.  Truthfully, I just couldn’t get a picture I liked of all three girls.  I must have taken hundreds of pictures but none of them were worthy of spending $50+ on Christmas cards.

This year our family needed some updated photos and I wanted a few of the girls for the blog.  My friend Jen takes amazing photos so we booked a session with her.

My goal for this session was to capture the girls just as they are.

Right now in this moment in time.

I wanted to be able to look back at these photos and remember exactly what their personalities are like.  They chose what they wore and did whatever silly things they wanted to do.

I thought about not sharing so they would be a surprise when we finally send out a Christmas card this year but they’re too good NOT to share.

THIS is our family.

Yes, Matt does OFTEN carry the girls this way.  He’s pushing 40 so it’s only a matter of time before either they outgrow his arms or he hurts himself.  I don’t know which would be worse.

If you are local and interested in booking a session with Jen, send me a message and I will send you her contact information.  If you’re not local and want to book her, I’m sure she’d be willing to travel if you’re paying for a flight.  She may need an assistant, though.  😉
xoxo
